The newly formed Yale Biochemistry, Quantitative Biology, Biophysics and Structural Biology (BQBS) Track provides students with experimental, theoretical, and computational research training across a broad range of scales, from molecules to cells to whole organisms. The newly-formed department wanted their branding to reflect their cross-disciplinary and highly innovative approach while also illustrating some of the science associated with their research. The logo combines the ideas of X-ray crystallography and protein and molecular bonds.
